A long time ago I had the Peavey 60/60 power amp w/6L6's and it was a very good power amp for the money. I think that's the one you should get.
One thing I've noticed with EL-84 Peavey amps is that they sound beautiful at low to medium volume. As soon as you turn them up to rehearsal room levels, the tone falls apart and loses definition. The 6L6's won't do that. They break up in a more pleasing way. I'm not talking in general....I'm just referring to what I've experienced with Peavey.
