Love the clean tone. want to improve the overdrive of the b channel without comprimising the clean. already made the simple mods, headphone jack and effects loop. any suggestions on tubes. ok with the speaker. playing epi les paul and fender american tele.

I had that amp, my suggestion is get your distortion from a pedal or something like a Tonelab ST or POD.

I have an amp with a good clean channel and a bad drive channel, and I figured out that nothing I ever do to the drive channel will make it sound as good as the clean channel with distortion pedals. Like, good distortion pedals.
