Peavy Wolfgang - Need more info

Looking at Peavy Wolfgang - NEW guitar.
1600 AUD (1200 USD).

Not sure which model.
It is an uninspiring blue, and the neck has wierd (lots of mojo) brown splotches on it.
Very fast neck. Very nice.

Keen on it.

Any info?
On the pups, disadvantages.
Bad things to look for etc.

Convince me not to get it.

If it's a carved top with a volume and a tone knob, it's a USA made Standard. THE desirable model if you ask me. That's pretty much the going rate. The 'brown spots' are birdseyes. The Standard has a birdseye maple neck. The more 'spots' the better as far as looks are concerned.

Why buy it? I have three words for ya: Alice In Chains.
