I think there’s a point where you go from being a player to a collector. I think 8 Boss DDs puts you there. If they were different digital delays I would get it. Even DD2 vs DD7 but with 8 there has to be repeats lol

@davidravenmoon ‘s looks like a player’s collection :)

I used a Ground Control for years, and I used to own the original rackmount EH Guitar Synthesizer- what a strange, buzzy beast!

Re: Pedal addiction

Emergency backup parts are often less expensive than paying for repairs. Maybe that's his thinking here

That REX50 is kinda cool. I still have an old FX500 around here somewhere. Sweet units. Way ahead of their time.

Re: Pedal addiction

I have to admit that there's a 'gotta catch 'em all' thing that goes on in the back of my mind when I look at the many different colours of Boss pedals. :P

Yes, but maybe one of each will suffice? [emoji6]

I have a friend with like 10 different RATs. But that’s because he collects them.

Yeah, that’s stuff I accumulated over the years that I actually use.

These days I play through a Marshall Code 100, so the only external pedals are a Vox wah, a Joyo Ultimate Drive and a Whammy. Plus that Ground Control.

That’s an original Micro Synth. Bought it new back in the day.

I also have these.

This is my second REX50. I had one back in the 80s that was dropped and had issues.

I picked this one up off of eBay. Forgot what I paid for it but it was pretty cheap. I haven’t messed with it at all. I used to have some cool patches.

This was recorded on a Tascam Porta One back in 1986 or so. The delays are the REX50, as is the flanging on the bass, and reverb on the Emu Drumulator. The drone guitar is the Micro Synth.

Re: Pedal addiction

Need a noise gate after black furry ear pedal. Can have a lot of hiss....

I have had 4 different delays on a board: DD-3, AD-9, RV-3, and a Garage Tone Delay....all set different:

Lead delay
short slap
Verb + delay
Van HAeln delay settings (easy to change knobs in dark!)
