Pedal power problem?

I just bought a brand new Walrus Audio Aetos pedal power supply. Hooked everything up, and played literally 2 chords. Then, all of the sudden, I get this horrible digital sounding squeal, followed by a continuous rhythmic popping noise?!

I've never heard anything like it?

Re: Pedal power problem?

So... Everything on battery is still OK?

You didn't use a reverse polarity cable or accidentally set it to 18V, right?

Re: Pedal power problem?

Doesn't come with reverse polarity cables. No 18volts either.

Re: Pedal power problem?

I don't know what happened, but they told me to ship it back, and they'd send another one.

Re: Pedal power problem?

The Aetos is perfect for what I need. Somebody probably dropped it in shipping. The box didn't look the best.

Re: Pedal power problem?

The dying output must have glitched out your reverb and/or delay. See, if you were in a noise band you'd want that sound. ;)

Lol...funny thing is, that thought actually crossed my mind for a second...lol.

It did kind of sound like a continuos self oscillation.

Re: Pedal power problem?

I'll have to post pics when it's all back up and running.
