Pedal Repair??? Help???

OK. I have a DOD Ice Box chorus pedal that i am kind of attached to. You know, it was the first pedal I ever bought so it have sentimental value. I also like the tone and stuff. Well, it keeps cutting out but I think it is something to do with the switch than the actual effect. The effect works fine but sometimes the pedal will completely cut out and kills the signal for the how effect chain. I get no sound. If I kick it, the pedal not the pedal switch, it usually comes back on. Could there just be a loose connection in there?

I'd really rather not have to buy a new pedal or pay someone $50 to crack it open and see what the problem is. Let me know if there are any things that I should look for as easy fixes. I don't have a soldering iron but I am sure I could find one.

Thanks!

Rock on.

If you keep kicking it, you will eventually have a loose wire or some kind of connection. Have you checked the battery?? Also check the sides where the jacks are and make sure that they are tight, check your chords also make sure that you don't have a bad one.

Invest in a can of tuner cleaner and open up the back of the effect, take out the battery and give it a bath in tuner cleaner. Should solve your problem.

Hope this works for you.
