Pedal setup

I tried doing a search for this but I couldn't find anything. I want to know what the best way to set up my pedals from my guitar to my amp without weakening my amp's tone. Should I use the fx loop. I'm using:
-Boss TU-2 Tuner
-Boss DD-5 Digital Delay
-MXR Phase 90

Head:Marshal DSL 50

Any help would be appreciated. :smokin:

Re: Pedal setup

I'd put the delay in the loop, it'll sound cleaner that way. Unless you use it for reverse effects, those can be cool in front.

So, guitar -> Tuner -> Phase 90 -> amp -> loop out -> DD5 -> loop return

Re: Pedal setup

To be a signal purist I would try using a/b switch for the tuner to get it out of the chain. I would experiment with phaser before or after the delay in the loop too.

This is how I would do it. I would also consider placing the phaser in the loop before the delay. But with these pedals, you are free to experiment as much as you want. I just prefer to place phaser before drive.
