It doesn't look like a looper pedal to me, actually. I think it's just a tuner mute button and a way to have your in/out cables close together.

DSS3, that's exactly what it is. It's meant to be one convenient connection spot for everything on your pedalboard, plus the option of sending a second output to a tuner.

For those who require a bypass loop as well, here's the latest design from Pedalboard Junction - the Union Station!
It unites the original Pedalboard Junction functions with a true bypass loop. The bypass loop comes after the initial pedal send and return jacks, but by request I can build it so the bypass loop comes first instead.
Red light - stop and tune!
Green light - go local loop!
