Looking for a Humbucker sized neck pickup to match the Little 59 in the bridge of my telecaster. The guitar has an alder body and maple/rosewood neck. What do you think is the most balanced and belonging option? Other options welcomed too. Thanks guys, you the best!

I'm a fan of mini-HB's in the neck slot; you get the benefits of a HB (noise reduction and a fuller sound), but they're not as dark or bassy as a full-size HB can be. Since your guitar has brighter woods, a Phat Cat would also work. The metal cover reduces part of the hum, but being a single coil, it still has some.

I'm not sure if the lil' 59 for Tele sounds like the one for Strat, but I have found that the Lil' 59 for Strat sounds nothing like it's big brother...it's way warmer and fuller sounding.

That being said, are you looking for a full-sized humbucker (the Phat Cat is the size of a humbucker), or are you looking for something sized like a P-90/mini humbucker?

Hey, thanks!

Looking for a full size humbucker, but a mini humbucker can also do the trick. Best!

I have a phat cat in the neck of my tele paired with a tapped quarter pounder in the bridge..I will never use a different pickup combo in that guitar..The phat cat sounds great on it's own, and even better in the middle position with the QP in both output settings..
