Phat Cat P90 + Fender Jaguar Classic Player Special HH

Hey Everyone,

I've had my Jaguar classic player special hh for little over a year now, I love the look of it but i'm still working on perfecting the sound! The stock enforcer humbucker pickups didn't too it for me so I ordered some phat cat p90's ( I want that single coil sound). I want to install them myself and unfortunately I don't even know where to start. The phat cat has just one wire where as the enforcer has a bunch of color wires coming out of the main one. In addition the roller pots are 50k, volume and tone = 1meg. What would be the optimal pots to go with the phat cats? or would the original pots be fine? Any sort of help will be appreciated!

In addition I do not care if I lose function of my rollers. They let me switch from humbucker to single coil.

you'd have to post some better pictures of the connection of the pickup to the pot or switch to better give you an advice

Search for pickup color code on the net. Guitarelectronics.com maybe. Very handy indeed.

the phatcats use the outer silver braid as ground and the core wire inside the braid as hot. youd wire the pups directly to the on off switches or to the kill switch if you want to keep that in the circuit. personally i prefer the phat cats with 500k controls but since you already have 1 meg in there, might as well try it. if it were me, id probably wire the low cut for the neck pup only.
