Phat Cat question

Hey guys,
I tried to contact SD customer support about this, but could'nt get a hold of anyone on the phone. You guys will know this though.
I have a PRS SE that I'm intalling an SD Phat Cat in the bridge. It came with humbuckers both positions. I may change the neck pickup later when I have a little money.
Both pickups are wired to the three way selector switch from the factory. Of course the stock pup had a ground wire and positive wire. Is there any reason I cannot wire the Phat Cat the same as the stock bridge pup was wired? I'm assuming I'll have to use the braided shielding on the Phat Cat as my ground wire. Thanks for any help.

Re: Phat Cat question

You have no problem at all. Just wire it the same way. I have changed the pickups on my SG Standard and the scheme was the same. If there was coil splitting or other such options then it was going to be more complicated, but if it is two-conductor cable on the original pickup, just wire the HSP90 the same way and rock on.
