I'm guessing you are pointing out the line on top... doesn't nec indicate photo flame. photo flame, as I understand the slang term, would refer to a vinyl overlay. this actually looks more like a veneer... but I'm splitting hairs. What did you expect on a guitar that is less than a grand? Not disparaging them at all... some might argue that a veneer (not photo flame) is better for tone as you aren't putting a slab of maple on the top and you are getting pure body wood. a super nice top can cost upwards of $300 so... i think they offer a pretty good compromise of cost/tone.

Photo flame is just that
A photo of flame glued to the top and glossed over
You have a slab of flame maple
Then
A slab of non flame maple with a veneer of flame on top
Think thin plywood veneers
Then
Just a veneer with no real slab
My Ibanez is this way with a basswood body
Then photo flame
With a photo image of pretty wood
On a plain body
My buddy had a Japanese Squire with this
It cracked and lifted right off
Thin as newspaper

Good to known (as I was considering buying a Epi Korina Flying V)...
If its a veneer, what is the wood inside ? According to the specs it is supposed to be Limba.
It seems the body of the Korina V they sell here have four pieces... Or four pieces of veneer ?

Laminate bodies like that one, improve on rigidity and tone neutrality.

My buddy just bought a Japanese Orville Les Paul custom, and to look at it, it appears to be the nicest bourbon-burst quilted Maple top you've ever seen; like USA custom shop stuff. Sadly, it is a photo flame thing. I don't know if he knew before he bought it online, or if he thought it was a thin quilted Maple top. It looks really cool, but it is not what it appears to be.

Foto-Flame has a very specific meaning. Are you sure it is printed flame, and not the [much] more typical figured veneer (i.e. actual wood, just very thin)?

He took the pickups out, and said based on what he saw he said it was definitely not a wood top.
