You can always do like i did to see what your project possibly would look like....I uploaded my guitar pic to a photo editing program on my ipad and then used the different colors i was wanting to create what my project wold look like....i can upload a pic to show you what i mean when i get my ipad with me and get the net at home

I already have both pickguards. If I don't like it one way I'll try the other.

OK. It is decided. I like the tortoise pickguard, and to me it looks good on the semi-natural body wood finish but not with the black pickups. It's just to Darth Vador looking. The white one will look good. This is the guitar (not my specific guitar, but the same model/finish) pre modification.

It is supposedly a honey burst stain. Mine has almost no burst at all, but it does have the "honey" tint as opposed to a natural finish.

I am going to save the tortoise pick guard for cream colored guitar with gold harware. There is enough gold in the tortoise to make it look good. Even then I'll have to figure out what to do with the neck and middle single coils.
