Pick Up For Ash Bodied Ibanez

I have an Ibanez with an ash body and maple/walnut neck. (This model in white https://ibanez.fandom.com/wiki/RG652AHM) LOVE the guitar. It has the stock Tone Zone and Air Norton and while I like the Tone Zone (not a bad pick up AT all) I feel that it is a bit lacking in the aggressiveness for my taste. I play a ton of hard rock and metal.

I've tried many pick ups, my current favorites are the PRS Tremonti and the Motor City Afwayu, both of which I may try in this guitar. But I'm interested in other recommendations, particularly DiMarzio. I've also heard the BKP Warpig (ceramic version I think) is great in Ash guitars.

Thoughts, opinions? Thanks!

Jeff

Dimarzio AT-1. Andy Timmons signature model. This is
my favorite pickup at the moment. I have it in a PRS SE
Custom 24 Floyd and a Charvel San Dimas. It comes in
around 16.5k with an A5. I love the “completeness” of this
pup. The mids are mid-low focused, the Bass is tight and
the highs are warm. Very clear and articulate. Awesome
all around hard rock pup. Check it out.

I have a JB/JAZZ set in both my Ash body Gibson LP
And in my Basswood RG2

While I dont have an Ash RG
I do like the JB/JAZZ set

I put that set in everything

I dont have any Dimarzios
My buddy has a DP103 in the bridge of his strat

I think it would be a much better neck somewhere

Sot that's my take

Personally I would leave the Air Norton where it is and get a Crunch Lab for the bridge.

I am a huge fan of that bridge pickup and I feel like John Petrucci's sound in general is right up your alley. The Crunch Lab has a crazy tight, fast, attack, it's got all the good parts of the EMG 81 w/o any of the sterility.
