I could go with the 59/59. But I was thinking maybe the Dimarzio PAF-PRO in the Bridge and a PAF-JOE in the neck? What do you guys think? I never tried the Dimarzio's how are they [PAFs]. I have a Gibson 335 with the 57 Classics, and a LP Standard with the BB-Pro's. I built a Schecter C/SH-1 with a 59/4-cond. and a JB/4-cond. set in it. So I thought maybe the Dimarzio's since I tried or own darn near everything else. I had a LP Classic with a 59 in the bridge that I liked to. I just don't want another semi-hollow with a 59 in the neck. I like the BB-Pro's but would they GO with a Semi-Hollow? Must be a reason Gibson DOESN'T use them? Or a BB-Pro in the neck and a 57 Classic Plus in the bridge? SO WHAT DO YOU GUYS THINK? ..........................ALSO how do the Dimarzio's conect to a 2-wire set-up? Whats the set-up?

All the pups mentioned above I could puchase TODAY they are in stock! Also my boy has a NEW SD Pearly Gates NECK pup? He ordered it and never used it. What do you guys think about that in the neck? He also has a used 500T ceramic? RADICAL for a semi-hollow though. Kind of leaning toward the Dimarzio set unless you guys heard some negatives about them.

I am not sure the sound you are going fo here. A Seth Lover set may be nice in that guitar.

Most folks would recommended Seths for that authentic PAF tone in a 335 but you've stated you're not interested in those. So try 59's

But as far as ES335 type guitars go, the Seth Lover are closest to what would've come in a '58 ES-335 and the 59's are closer to what would have come in an early 60's ES-335 like Larry Carlton played. Lew

Since you already have a spare PG neck, just use it. I'd go with a CC/PG, just so the bridge sounds warm, fat, and hot, in that guitar. It'll beef it up enough to sound more like a Gibson.....with even better pickups.
