Picked up a new amp the other day...

Thats right, its a (slightly modded) Silver face VibroChamp. All filter caps were replaced recently, Has a non-original cabinet which is fitted with a Weber 10" speaker (10F150T-4 in case anyone cares), But thats the extent of the Mods. Still has stock circutry, and the original trannys an all that, just a larger cab different speaker and new filtercaps. It also Came fitted with a GE 6V6, a Sovtek 5Y3, a Brimar 12AX7 (v2) and a RCA 12AX7 (V1). And I gotta say it sounds pretty amazing, the tremolo in particular is just beautiful sounding.
I haven't had a chance to crank it yet, as I'm staying in someone elses apartment for a two week or so (I'm baby setting they're cat and dog while they're outta town). So I can't say anything about that yet.

I dunno what the characteristic sound is. The silverface champs and Vibrochamps have the exact same circut as the blackface versions. So I don't think there'de be much difference between the two with this model.

I just put one of those on layaway last week. Mine will prolly end up with an 8" Blue Pup, though.

Yep the trem has this strange multidimensional quality that's just beautiful sounding.
