Picked up the coolest pedal I have ever seen.

There is a local guy that has been making a few unique pedals lately. He takes popular circuits and houses them in really cool and unique, old housings of different kinds. I saw this one and had to have it. Call me a sucker for the off the wall.

This is basically a Rat Clone built into some sort of vintage little canister or something. The LED display, displays the number of volts going through the pedal. That's cool and all, but a genius feature is how the middle knob adjusts the voltage that the pedal receives and then displays it on the LED. My Pedal Power two has two power ports that have sag control that allows you to do the whole 'dying battery" thing, but never have I seen a pedal that allows you to dial in in via the control. I know this isnt a unique concept, but it is the first time I have seen anything like it.

^^ +1
That belongs in the MoMA design collection.

That is so freaking frosty!

(FYI, my fuzzhugger algal bloom has a "dying battery" control [they call it a starve] on top with the other pots)

Re: Picked up the coolest pedal I have ever seen.

This is the first time I've ever looked at a pedal and not cared in the slightest how it sounds.

Looks cool, but I don't recommend boarding an airplane with it in your luggage! LOL

I remember reading an interview with George Lynch, where he said he was strip searched at the German border or something because he had a guitar pedal they thought was a detonator! :boggled:

Re: Picked up the coolest pedal I have ever seen.

That looks cool. Starving the voltage is definitely not a new idea; the Durham Crazy Horse and several other pedals offer the same control...

Re: Picked up the coolest pedal I have ever seen.

That's really sweet man. When I first looked at the picture I thought the number was a digital clock display. Then I read the post, haha. But seriously, how cool would it be to have a digital clock serve as the LED on a stomp box. Nice to keep an eye on the clock while going through a show.

I am not much of a Rat guy at all. I never have been able to get one to sound the way I like. I have found some great tones for sure in this guy though. I may see if he would be willing to build me an OD with this same sort of vibe. It is surely cool!
