D daCaT New member May 27, 2005 #4 Re: Pickguard Ply - 1? 3? 5? Does it matter? It shouldnt make too much difference. Single ply are more prone to warping and are often drilled with 9 holes. Strange the aluminum would cause hum as it should act as a giant shield.
