Pickup and pot combinations

Guys what are your suggestions for various combinations

If you using a DC what pot would you use.
or JB what pot would you use.
same with CC and DD.

I have heard that some use a 250k pot with a JB.

i would use 500k on all of those

the jb can sound nice with 250k pots too but is much darker

I would also probably use 500k pots with all of those. Blueman would use 250k pots with those in the bridge position (or now he'd usre 500k pots with 470k resistors in parallel). We all have our unique tastes.

I would suggest you use 500k pots and if you feel that one is too bright, solder a 470k resistor between the outside lugs on the vol pot. If it sounds better to you, leave it that way or replace it with a 250k pot.

Let your ears be your guide.
