Hey Guys, I want to swap out the weak stock pickups of this Ibanez S470DXQM with an F-spaced Duncan Distortion and a futur neck pickup to be decided... (You can suggest pickups for the neck, I mainly use the neck pickup for cleans and smooth leads/solos)

So I took out my old cream zebra PRS SE pickups to see how it would look like on this guitar. As the neck bindings are cream, I figured I'd like some zebra pickups. Help me on this, maybe plain black looks better to you guys... But to me it looks kinda dull. :/

Cream on both ends, because that's where the screw poles are. That's how they're supposed to go, unless you order reverse zebra with the screw poles in the black bobbins.

I really like that idea. Truth is I have little use for a single coil pickup but I might learn to like that. ;) I think i'll go cream out since it's easier to find than any other zebra combinatons, with TB-6 in the bridge and 59 in the neck and might just try to change de pickup cover for the middle pickup. I just fond the black pickups purely boring. Sorry H8... I'm always approving your ideas but on this one it's different haha.

I love zebras and have them in most of my guitars, but I don't think they look good on that guitar. I think it looks best the way it is stock with the black pickups.

I have #7 in a Cherryburst Cadillac right now (PG and custom wound hot PG), so you know I'm not a hater.

I say keep it all black.

You can always only buy just the cover for the middle pickup, they are pretty standard fit. I think the best concept for the zebra-thing is that if you have dark fingerboard then get white to the outside to contrast the fingerboard and vice versa. I too always prefer not-black pickups and Cream on the outsides and cream for the middle pickup gives it a nice even pattern.
