Pickup Config

I'm new with all this pickup talk, and i hope this is not a stupid question!! When changing the p'ups in a guitar with two humbuckers, which side of the p'up should be pointing towards the neck and which side should be pointing towards bridge in both the bridge and neck positions? I recently purchased a JB for the bridge position and was wondering which way the ajustable side of the p'up should face.

The screws are in the direction of the ... position. For instance, the neck pup will have the screws in the direction of the neck and the slugs in the direction of the bridge.

on bridge buckers: adjustable (screw) side is pointing to the bridge
