pickup covers for single coil

hi everyone,
kinda a dumb question, but has anyone used a plain pickup cover (no pole holes) on a strat? will they fit over a duckbucker or jb jr with no problems?

I have used the flat covers with no holes on pick-ups such as Fender Lace Sensors, SD LiveWire for strat, and EMG single coils, but I have never tried to put a cover like that on a regular strat pick-up, or something like a JB Jr....
I really don't know if it would work, I wouldn't think so.... but maybe, sorry I couldn't be of more help
