Pickup covers on SDs

This might be kind of a dumb question, but what are the differences in dimensions between a SD humbucker without a cover, and one with a cover? Also for an SD trembucker? Maybe some of you retailers who have covered ones in stock could help a brother out?

I need to know precisely what the dimensions are (in inches), so I can get a custom pickguard made. Or could I still get by just using the dimensions on the website?

Thanx

The physical dimension are incredibly close to the same. Width-wise I think it had much less than 1mm.

Cover or no cover there are 2 Duncan spacings. I may be off on the numbers but I believe the trembucker is 53mm and the standard Duncan is 50mm.

Refer to the site for numbers, but most pickguards are routed for uncovered.
If you install a nickel covered, you'll need to specify to the pickguard maker that you plan on using nickelcovered, or else use a dremel tool to enlarge the route by a millimeter or so. Most routs have soft corners, so you'll need to make the corners more squared.

Standard Duncan (and Vintage PAF spacing) is 49 mm from e-pole center to e-pole center, I just went through hell finding a cover for a ´59 becasue of it (i wanted nickle and all I could find was Gold). TB is 53mm, though ;)
