Pickup covers?

I have a Ibanez ICX-120 iceman guitar, with Dimarzio PAF pro, and FRed pickups, would putting covers on them change tone? im just goin for the look, but if the tone would be benificial, that would be kewl, also, im puttin a graphite nut, planet waves tuners, coil splitting, and flat wound strings on it, what u guys think of that?? i think itll be sweet fftopic:

but would covers change the sound of my pickups,and if so how?

Covers will make the pickup a little warmer...just a little less bright. Some don't notice the change.

hmm, ok then, cuz my pickups are fairly high output, and the "Fred" in particular, is a very snappy high cut pickup, so thats why i was asking
