Pickup for Korina explorer

When I first got my epiphone explorer, I thought the stock pickups sounded pretty good. After playing it more (and louder), I've found the bridge pickup to be subpar. I like the neck pickup, it will be staying. What would you guys recommend for a bridge pickup for mostly rhythm playing? I was thinking maybe an Invader, but I'm open to any suggestions!

Ahh…Epiphone Korina is not actually Korina. And epiphany pups generally suck.

What amp?
What fx?
What style of music?

Amp is a Randall RG1003H. I generally play with no effects - maybe a wah sometimes, that's about it. I play classic metal (maiden, Metallica).

Not Korina, guessing it's mahogany or something then?

The general consensus is that the body is mahogany. Didn't Hetfield use a 500T in the bridge of his Explorer? That might be just the ticket?

Or a Super Distortion for Maiden-esque sounds?
