Pickup Height Screws?

Hi. I need a pair of pickup height screws that will fit a Duncan humbucker. Anybody know where I can get some? I was going to use the screws from my stock Epiphone pickups but I guess they have a slightly bigger diameter.

Re: Pickup Height Screws?

Go to www.mcmaster.com.

Part # 91794A101

$8.91 for a pack of 50. Cheapest I've found so far. Pretty sure they'll work but haven't ordered yet, so check with Evan or customer service to make sure the specs match up with what Duncan uses.

Re: Pickup Height Screws?

Yow, that's a lot of screws. I wonder if there's a place to get only a couple.

Also, I figure this might be a good place to ask because you guys know a lot about pickups...I bought a GFS humbucker-sized P-90 called the Dream 90. Weirdly, though, it doesn't fit in my humbucker-routed pickguard. I thought that all humbuckers were sized equally, but I guess not. I emailed the company and they said that since it has a chrome cover, it is a little bigger...their solution was to shave the pickguard to make it fit. Is this a good solution? How would I do that? Also, would it be better/easier to just remove the cover? How would I do that?

Thanks!

Re: Pickup Height Screws?

I found out that Warmoth has them, but they have a minimum order of $25. :(

Seymour has provided screw size data for us. Look at the chart find the size you need. Go to the local hardware store and I'll bet you'll be able to find 2 stainless steel screws or material of your preference for less than $2.

That's what I did for the bridge saddle intonation adjustment screws. My strat had some very low quality screws, very soft. I checked with seymour duncan for the size went to the hardware store. I bought 6 stainless steel screws for less than $3. Now, it's better than new.
