Pickup placement

its a 24 fret neck in a 22 fret body, so theres less room between the bridge and the end of the neck. I think. not OVERLY sure. and then the bridge pickup could be moved back, maybe 5 cm's, which would looks different cosmetically, and give the "right" amount of space between the pickups.

Thanks again!

Oh...I was thinking about the bridge pickup, not the neck. Your bridge pickup looks fine. As for neck...if you want a neck pickup, go for it! I don't think the 24-fret-neck-on-a-22-fret-body makes a differences (I think). With 24 frets, the neck pickup will be pushed towards the bridge either way.

Re: Pickup placement

I remember you posting about this not to long ago. No I see what you were talking about. Very nice guitar. I would not move the bridge pickup. If you really feel that you need a neck pickup, I would put a single coil sized humbucker as beandip mentioned. I'm actually building a V guitar now, however it's only 22 frets so I don't have the problem that you do. Mine is routed for a humbucker (b) and single coil (n). Just wanted something different. This would probally be your best route to go. Just take off the neck and route the cavity for the single coil as I described to you previously. If you want PM me and I can send you a template to scale that you can print out and create your routing template out of plywood or acrylic. You can also buy them from Stewart MacDonald for around $5.
