Pickup Question

Hey everyone, I'm about to get a Schecter Tempest Custom and I'm positive I'll be replacing the pickups. I'm not too sure exactly what I want to put in it. I have a Schecter C-1 Plus with a Duncan Jazz in the neck and a Dimebucker in the Bridge already. I mainly play heavy music EX: Between the Buried and Me, Lamb of God, Dillinger Escape Plan, etc. I want to be able to have a good deep heavy sound, lots of mids, and sweet highs, able to get good cleans but not necessarily pristine, as again I'll be playing mainly metal-esque music. Any suggestons extremely appreciated, as I don't have a ton of experience with pickups. Thanks a lot everyone!

Brett

Re: Pickup Question

a lot of people agree a duncan distortion is greatfor heavy metal....its crunchy, middy, and has good treble. it cleans up decent too...still middy but decent. also a custom thats pretty cool too....it cleans up well as well....its a little too tight for my taste i mean its locked up TIGHT! oh and i mean "middy" as in mids not muddy

Re: Pickup Question

Welcome! DOn't really know much from those bands. If you need the booty factor - go Custom. If you don't - Distortion. And you will meet a couple of guys here named Jeff andf Theodie.....be careful what you say. Your screen name is gonna get them excited....
