Pickup question

So I bought the RWRP model ssl 1 off of eBay and I didn't know that I needed a different version because I play left handed. My question is, could I theoretically wire it upside down in the bridge position and then get another one in the left handed version for the neck and get the same effect?

1 - yes you could.....the orientation of the pickup is no change for phase or anything else.

2 - you don't need to. In fact staggered pickups work way better the 'wrong' way around. I am lefty and have never bought a set of LH pickups save for when the magnets are different for wound and plain strings.
RH players who play strats often also flip the pickups to balance the string energies/volume more.

Well, Frusciante is channeling hendrix on Under The Bridge.

Apart from him, these seem to be 'band players'. As in they play a guitar part simply to follow how the song is written. This is no bad thing, but there is a whole other world there.......where the guitar becomes a melody and emotionally expressive instrument in its own right - like the singer.

Albert Collins.......

The list goes on. This is the blues/rock side of music

A quick note,
Clapton and Peter Green should be listened to in their time (mid to late 60's) with John Mayals' BluesBreakers. Also Peter Greens early work W/Peter Green's Fleetwood Mac and Clapton with Cream and Derick and the Dominoes. Half the players listed have passed on.
Stevie Ray Vaughn was great at melding BB, Albert King, Texas Blues, a little Albert Collins here and there, so SRV is a good place to hear great blues blended by the greats to achieve his own sound. He also tosses some hard and soft Hendrix things together also.
I envy you, you have a whole world of stunning guitarists just waiting for you to hear them. I would add Mike Bloomfield also. I very much hope you like the Blues and beyond. Hendrix cannot be described. Have at. These are the greats, along with many many more. Good Hunting and Listening.
