I play a lot of ganster rap and sort of krunk-inspired stuff as well. Mostly your standard ice-t, early ice-cube, DOC stuff (hey no one can do it better...)
I have an alder strat 50s RI with a brass nut + maple neck, and was wondering if anyone had any pickup recommendations for a more updated tone. Right now I have antiquity surfers (not a huge fan of the noise, esp. through my carmen ghia). Before that I had the kinman woodstock set. Noiseless is a plus.
Again I'm looking for the sort of tone that DJ Aladdin gets on old ice t records (I'm thinking something with staggered pole pieces).
Need a matched set for in-between positions. Oh yeah and I have Callaham saddles if it makes a difference. Thanks in advance.
