Pickup replacement PRS SE Singlecut 2007

This is my first time posting on this forum, hoping for some advice on pickup replacement in my PRS SE singlecut 2007. The neck pickup can get to boomy and also a little bright and thin sounding with the tone up. The bridge pickup is nasal and hollow sounding. I play through a vox ac 15 using Diamond compressor, boss delay, ocd overdrive. Any advice would be really appreciated thanks.

I have three SE Singlecuts from that time period.

Nice guitars but the stock pickups were not great.

They can be improved with a magnet swap and I did that....but after a short time I replaced them altogether with new Duncans.

Being a blues player I didn’t want overly hot pickups.

Seth Lovers sounded great.

So did Antiquitys.

And so did Pearly Gates.

As did the new Slash set.

But I settled on uncovered Seth Lovers in one...uncovered Antiquitys in one...and uncovered 59’s modded with Polished A2 magnets in one.

I have a Nick Catanese PRS SE and I used to have a Korina PRS SE. I like vintage output speakers just like Lew (I don't play blues, though). I've liked the Duncan Whole Lotta Humbucker, '59, and Slash in the bridge position as well as the DiMarzio PAF Pro. I've liked the Phat Cat in the neck.

An Alnico II Pro in the neck will help the 'boomy and bright' thing that your neck pickup has going on. It has more mids than bass or treble, so it should correct that. For the bridge, I'd go with something more scooped, like a 59/Custom Hybrid which doesn't have a nasal thing at all- there aren't a lot of mids, but it is a really great, solid powerful pickup with a PAF-y EQ profile.

Thanks for all the suggestions, and yes practice does cure many tone problems. I was thinking of the Alnico II Pro or maybe the slash set. My only thought was that they may be a little to bass heavy in the neck position?

Well, that's the thing...they aren't bass heavy..they are mid heavy. To me, a 59 is bass heavy. The Alnico II Pro doesn't have a lot of bass (it is sort of squishy), but a lot of true mids.

Any thoughts on tonal differences of the Alnico II Pro and 59 neck?

The '59 is more scooped. Has more treble and a lot more bottom-end.
