I have a late 90's 6-string USA BC Rich that weighs a ton, mahogany body, neck through, floyd rose, ebony board.
I have it tuned to Drop C, and currently have SD Distortion in the bridge and the tone is too bassy for me.
I previously had a JB and the tone was too round and "wooly".

I'm now considering Omega, Pegasus, or Nazgul. Which one would you say has less bass / more cut / note clarity?

Any other suggestions welcome. Cheers!

Thanks!

Well, the Nazgul from your list would be my first choice. Another choice would be a Custom 5, which has solved every 'wooly guitar' problem I've ever had. It is really scooped, so it really balances out the EQ in mid/bass heavy guitars, while keeping the lows percussive and tight.

Looking at SD's website "compare" feature, the Omega has slightly less bass than the Nazgul, scooped mids, and more treble. On paper, that sounds like a good eq for my guitar. Does anyone have experience with the Omega on very dark mahogany guitars?

The tight and clear sounding Screamin' Demon. It was never built as high output pickup as some people would like to think. But if you use high gain amp, it won't be a problem.
