Pickup suggestion (HSS) to pair with a 59/Custom Bridge

Hi SDUGF!

It's my first post here.

I have an Ibanez RG560 that has a 59/Custom Hybrid installed on the bridge with a push pull coil split.

I just want to ask the community for suggestions of a Neck single-coil sized pickup to pair with my 59/Custom hybrid?

Your help and input/suggestions would be appreciated!
THank you!

Decide if you want a true single coil, a stack, or a single coil size humbucker. True single coils have that classic trebley Fendery sound, stacks emulate that sound with noise cancellation, and single coil size humbuckers are little humbuckers. They cancel noise duh and they're nice and punchy.

I have and use an interesting wiring scheme with my Hybrid...I even wrote a blog about it, so it might be worth checking out.

I'd suggest an STK-S7n and STK-S4m. But then again, that's what I suggest for just about any Stratocaster, regardless of function or genre. It's a very versatile choice with a Stratty 2 and 4 position, especially with the 59/C.

Thanks for the suggestion! I heard the STK-S7n is a tad warmer sounding than the STK-S4n?

Hi Mincer! I have read ur post, great stuff with the STK-S4n on the neck position...
my friend has a spare STK-S4b though; I am not sure if the hotter output STK-S4b will work as well as the S4n on the neck...

Yeah, I would go for the actual neck pickup in the neck..it will sound Strattier.

Yes, it is a tad warmer. It's a more rounded tone that I find more suited for lead work. The S4 in the middle is nice for cleans.

This set is actually the first HSS set I bought aftermarket. It currently resides on one of the few guitars I have no intentions of selling. It's definitely very versatile with lots of useful tones. I eventually switched the A5 in the 59/C with a slightly degaussed RCA5, but that was because I got a new amp, not because there was anything wrong with the 59/C as is.

I have an Ibanez rg1560 and I suggest the Hot Rail Strat SHR-1 on the neck. Love the clean sound of this pickup and the warm tone when solo in high gain

Thanks everyone for the suggestion! I think I will go for the Classic Stack plus in the neck. :)
