Pickup Suggestions in a mahogany Super Strat

Hello,

I have bought a Custom Shop Jackson Soloist SL2H-V Natural series, unfinish Mahogany Body and Neck, Ebony fretboard which came with a SD 59´ neck and JB bridge, this is a very deep sounding guitar, I could define it as a Les Paulish sound Super Strat, so I want to keep it in that way since I have another Jackson Dinky USA with Alder Body and Maple Fretboard. I mainly play 80´Hard Rock in a JCM800

In Alder Bodies the JB seemed to me the great, but in this guitar sound poor defined and a little muddy, so I done a little research and I tried a SD C5 and It sounded weak and thin, so I changed it again for a SD Distortion, although now it sound more close to what I was looking for, I still feel that I wish a little more body and output, I wish the 59´ to have too a little more output and less bright but I´m more worried about the Bridge pickup

Yes, I know that It is a 25" scale guitar, I don´t pretend to have a Full Les Paul sound but I want to keep that caracter
I was thinking in Gibson 490R/498T set for it, but seems that the 490R is basically a SD A2Pro and the 498T something Between a C5 and a JB,
so before buying something I will appreciate your suggestions, worth the try?

A little more body and output from the Distortion?

PATB-2

+1

It also has some cool harmonics going on that are all that pickup's own.

I was hearing audio samples of PATB-2B and I will definitely try this pickup, and what solution you give me to the 59` problem?
in the description of the Custom 5 says that is like a ¨higher output '59 Model with a deeper bottom end and expanded output¨
just what I am searching, the problem is that is recommended as a Bridge pickup not a Neck PU

what about a Pearly Gates Neck? I will have a better results? more output and bottom end?

Before you ditch the Distortion, try adjusting the pickup so that the bass side is as close to the strings as your treble side. I think you will find that you get some heft like this. Just a thought before you spend money. :)

I think that the Custom 5 would be interesting in the neck. Probably just on the edge of "too much". But then, that's what the tone and volume are for. I say try it. If it's too tight and bright, put a UOA5 in it.

Alt8 - Screamin' Demon are my default combo for superstrat nowadays. It's like a hot rod JB - '59 to me. Fuller yet articulate, clear and defined. PATB-2 is a good suggestion too. Pair it with PATB-3 in the neck since PATB-1n maybe won't sound really fuller to you. Of course if you want mucho output from neck pickup, there's Distortion neck while '59/Custom hybrid in the neck could be a happy medium. That's a great looking superstrat btw.
