Pickup Suggestions?

So right now i have a TB4 and a SH2 in my Jackson KE3 (stock) and The TB4 is just a tad to bright for me. The SH2 on the other hand is a pickup i really kinda dont like. For me its to muddy and has no clearness/output.

I chosen a D Sonic and a Air Norton as a suggestion. What would be a good pickup for a Thrash (Megadeth) playing? I also play Dream Theater type of stuff to. Will a Super Distortion be the same as the JB in terms of what im looking for?


P.S I know the JB/Jazz set is used by Marty and Dave but its not my "Set"

PU's sound different, one guitar to the next. Rather than buying PU after PU hoping to stumble across one that works well with your wood, swap the magnet to an A8, and you'll get rid of some treble and add mids. Only takes a few dollars & a few minutes. The JB8 is getting very popular here.

You could always get the John Petrucci PUs from Dimarzio, The Liquifire and the Crunch Lab. You can get a used pair at GC online for like 90 bucks. I think the Crunch Lab sounds really nice, I don't think see the fuss about the Liquifire so much though.
