Pickup w/"sparkle" for Epi LP

Hello,
I'm looking for advice for which pickups will give my guitar some "sparkle". The guitar is an Epiphone Les Paul copy with gold hardware. The guitar lacks presents. I've tried a 59n in another guitar and liked it but there are so many different models of pickups. Can you all recommend a pair for me? I use the guitar for blues/R&B through Fender Bassman, Vibrolux and Deluxe Reverb amps.

The Jazz is not a bright PAF humbucker, it is balanced. 59s, Pearly Gates, Phat Cats, APH and even Seths are fairly bright and clean humbuckers. The Jazz goes best with Custom, JB and Custom Custom.

I don't think any humbuckers actually sparkle...although some Strat and Tele pickups do.

But that said, I do think the Jazz set sparkles the most...also the 59 set.

My first thought would be either something from TV Jones (depending on the look you want, you could get a TV'tron mounting or the new English mount) or the EJs from Dimarzio, which were designed specifically for LPs.

But those are both a bit more specialized pickups; they certainly sparkle, but if you're just looking for a brighter, clearer humbucker sound, they're probably not what you want.

Lew, which Strat pickups would you say sparkle? This is also very interesting to me.

If I did have pickups that sparkle I would spray em with flat black Krylon

maybe the true and trusted JB b/Jazz n combo would be a good choice

Just installed a Jazz in the neck and a Duncan Distortion in the bridge of my Les Paul. I don't know if they "sparkle" but they definitely have clarity and definition. The Distortion is a RAWK pickup, though. What better to do with a Les Paul.:friday:
