Pickup wiring G&L Invader XL

Hi there I want to swap my pups in my G&L Invader XL (USA model). I like the overall sound, but the pickups aren't just what I want. The Bridge could be a little more punchy and the neck more jazzy. I'm thinking of an SH-4 JB for the bridge and a 59 for the neck. What do you guys think? also the wiring diagram is different from my guitar. I only have one tone and one volume knob. I need to know if I wire the new pups the same as the stock or is it different. Thanks a lot and I hope to hear from you guys soon!

Welcome to the forum. Do you know what the stock pickups are? I thought they put a JB/59 in them stock.

I think you'd like a Custom 5 or Custom in the bridge, but try a Jazz in the neck.....it's more balanced with less boominess than the 59n.

Re: Pickup wiring G&L Invader XL

Sorry about the mixup My guitar is the Invader xl standard usa. It has G&L pups. They're fine I just want more definition from each pup. I want my bridge to give me those sweet classic rock (80's more than anything) sustain and tone. I want the neck to be full and smooth for those clean tones. I still use both clean and driven, but mainly like I said before and I want them to blend beautifully together. Thanks for all your help.
