Could you all tell me if this is possible...on the kelly .. 3 way toggle.. could i have bridge, split bridge/neck and neck...and with a push/pull volume have both pickups go parallel... Thanks in advance.

Re: Pickup wiring help for a Jackson KE3

With a push-pull yes. Both pups are going parallel per se on the middle position so what the push-pull will do is split both pups. You get 6 tones:
1- Bridge or Bridge split
2- Neck/Bridge parallel or Split Bridge/Split neck
3- Neck or neck split

Just use this as a basis http://www.seymourduncan.com/support/wiring-diagrams/schematics.php?schematic=2h_1v_3w_pp

But I suggest you take one of the pups red & white wires and send it to the pots hot lug instead of ground. This will keep it humbucking when you apply the split. Artie has a diagram of this somewhere, hopefully he'll read this and post it. Otherwise you would have to search thru this forum and find it, or just use the daigram I mentioned. It will work.

Re: Pickup wiring help for a Jackson KE3

Thanks... kinda thought.. I have a mim tele that has a mini on/on/on toggle and it only effects one pickup. So one push pull can effect both pickups though for splitting like Guitaraxz said above. But for parallel/series it can only effect one pick up...correct?

Re: Pickup wiring help for a Jackson KE3

Aaah I understood you wrong. Yes a 2PDT switch (push pull) can only put in series/parallel one humbucker. Exactly what wiring do you want? I'm understandig a split on the second position but the option of parallelseries on 1 & 3, am I close?

Re: Pickup wiring help for a Jackson KE3

Ha Ha ... I think I explained my self wrong.. I had asked about Down- Bridge, Middle - Both humbuckers split which would in fact be parallel (as you pointed out) and Up- Neck. Then pull the vol knob and have the bridge be parallel in down position and neck be parallel in the up position... I did not take the middle position in to account when the push pull was pulled. I like your way of laying it out Guitaraxz..

Re: Pickup wiring help for a Jackson KE3

Can you tell me if you would know if the Invader Bridge and the Full Shred Neck Split well? I have heard (read in a blog) that they do parallel well.

Re: Pickup wiring help for a Jackson KE3

I did split on a Duncan Performer Detonator, the cheap version of the Invader, and it sounded pretty damn good. It didn't lose beef or volume (too much) as many PAF's do when split on the bridge position. I did the Detonator on bridge.
Haven't done the Full Shred, sorry.

Here is a toggle that may do what you want, I'm 90% sure it will fit in your Kelly with no routing needed http://www.guitarelectronics.com/product/SWT61-17/3-Way-4-Pole-Guitar-Toggle-Switch-Chrome.html

Re: Pickup wiring help for a Jackson KE3

Wow..thanks... I could use that for something later... I wanted this kelly to be a little versatile but still a brutal metal guitar.. Glad to hear the detonator sounded good.. and thanks so much for for help!!!

Sorry, hadn't seen this.
It can be done, but you need this toggle http://www.guitarelectronics.com/product/SWT36-17/3-Way-4-Pole-Guitar-Toggle-Switch-Chrome.html which can give you a split on the middle position without affecting possitions 1 & 3.
Then you add 2 Push/pulls with the diagram Artietoo posted for the series/parallel switching.
