Pickup Wiring

I have decided to replace the pickups, pots, switch and jack in my Epi LP on my own. My question is regarding the cap. In the SD schematic it is shown running between a terminal on the tone pot and a terminal on the volume pot. However, in the stock wiring in my LP the cap was attached to a terminal on the tone pot and then grounded on the very same pot. Which is the "more" correct wiring?

From an electrical point of view, they're exactly the same. Its just a matter of whether the cap or resistor physically comes first. Since they are in series, it doesn't matter.

Just do whichever you prefer. The sound will be the same.
