Pickup with good midrange grunt and treble

Looking for Bridge pickup that has the lower midrange grunt and push of the Custom Custom, but also great sparkly top end. Does such a beast exist?

Use a RC A5 instead of the A2 of the CC.

Worth a try.

A polished A5 would make it a Custom 5 so a roughcast A5 would make it a Custom RCA5.

Wouldn't that still scoop out the midrange, roughcast or not? I don't know- I never tried. But I'd be interested to know from someone who does.

Rca5 doesn't have the mid push of a2. It has more bottom and top though. Rc has a less drastic scoop than polished with slightly warmer highs but I have never mistaken the highs of even an unoriented rca5 for a2.

Was thinking this as well. Not clear what the midrange is like on it.

I want to keep the CC as it can work great with a bright amp (think Roland JC120), but not very flexible outside of that situation for me. Love that lower midrange growl it has though and may put in a different guitar.
