Pickups choice tips

Hi, I've an Ibanez RG652AHM with ash body, maple neck and fingerboard, 24 jumbo frets and edge trem. I'm going to change the pickups and I'm thinking about what I may buy :scratchch When I think of the tone I'd like to have the keyword is warmth. Obviously the guitar is very bright sounding, so I'd like to darken it. I've always liked the JB, now in the bridge I've a DiMarzio AT-1 pickup which to my ears sounds like a warm JB without the very sharp attack that the JB typically have, so for the bridge position I want to stay in the same tone area. I love the Perpetual Burn, but I'm not 100% sure that this pickups could match my description. In the neck position I what to be as close as possible to the Slash's tone, consider the example of the Sweet child o'mine intro, but I'd like that the pickup keeps clarity and precision also during fast note picking patterns. My thoughts are: Pearly Gates, that I love and Sentient, even if I think it's too modern sounding for my needs; the neck pickup is the most complicated choice. I hope I've explain myself, it's very difficult to decribe sounds with words and even more difficult in another language. So your thoughts ? Share your experience and your ideas, all options are open to me. Thanks for your time.

You may even look at the Custom Custom, which has more mids than highs. It is a great rock pickup, although not super tight in the bass. It sounds great with trem-equipped guitars, though. For the neck, I'd look at the Slash. However, 24 frets (and a trem) prevent Slash-like warmth there. But it will be a lot warmer than the Sentient.

A2Pro Slash version then...

The Perpetual Burn has convinced me, so I'll give it a chance...for the neck I'm not too sure about the Alnico II pro Slash because it has been created mainly for Les Paul type guitars; I think that this pickup on my guitar, that's the opposite of a Les Paul, won't give me a sound not even remotely near to Slash's tone....

What's lacking in the AT-1, though? That's my favorite pickup (and player) right there. How close do you have it to the strings?

Nothing but I'd like to switch to Seymour Duncan because I think that they sound more "natural" and "real" than DiMarzio...
