Crunch comes from the amp, not the pickup. For good crunch, you need a Marshall, tweed Bassman, or something with a similar preamp design.
As far as which pickup is the most aggressive under gain, I'd say you could look at either the Custom or Duncan Distortion.

My fave "crunch" and to me crunch means pushing the amp, like old marshalls or new matchless (mostly non-master stuff) I would say get an open sounding pickup with some balls. The Custom fits the bill as already mentioned. Also consider the Dimarzio Super Distortion and Duncan Custom 5.
