Hello Everyone! Im looking for new pickups for my 7 string. It has a mahogany/maple top body with a bolt on maple neck and maple fret board, plus a 26.5 scale. For the bridge im looking for a pickup that can stay tight for progy riffs similar to the stuff that mark holcomb does in periphery. At the same time I want it to be extremely smooth when i set it up for leads. I want that smooth singing lead tone when doing legato,sweeps,taps on the bridge pickup, think per nilsson's tone from scar symmetry (also tones similar to guthrie govan, and greg howe). Now for the neck I want it to be crisp for cleans, but at the same time good for fluidy petrucci type shredding tone. Lastly i want pickups that will split well specifically while in the middle position as i tend to enjoy doing a thumping and two handed tapping similar to tosin abasi. So far I feel like the Pegasus/Sentient combo might fit the bill, but i would very much appreciate your input. Thank You!
