Hi, everyone.
I have a trade coming in, it's an ash-bodied seven string with a bolt-on maple neck and rosewood fingerboard. Since ash is a bright guitar, what SD pickups would suit it best?
I've already have a mahogany seven string fully equipped for metal, so I'm lokking for something different, that I would use on a rock/gothic rock (Sisters, Nephilim, Cult) situation. So, a full sound is what I'm looking for.
And since I'm looking for bridge and neck pickups, what would give the versatility of a good rock bridge pickup and a neck pickup that will sound good, full and defined on rock leads, but also could handle a clear clean sound?
I'm quite fond of the SD Custom SH-5 and the SD '59 SH-1. Any SD would out-do them in an ash body seven string?
Quite like ceramic magnets on the bridge, and maybe an A2 on the neck would be what I'm looking for this particular guitar?
Oh, and please forgive me for my terrible english. I am portuguese, and english is not my main language.
Thanks in advance!
