Pickups for an old Ibanez Roadstar II

Hi to all!
I've an '86 Ibanez Roadstar II rg440 and i'm on the way to change the pickups.
I was thinking about a JB/SSL-1/Little '59 but i'm quite unsure...
What do you advises for a good classic rock/80' classic metal sound?
Does the Humbucker on the bridge works well with a Single Coil-Sized Humbucker?
