I just pickup up a used Epiphone Les Paul Studio LT in walnut finish. It’s a pretty good axe for the money. Carved top. Mahogany body, or so they claim lol.
Anyways, I’ll be doing some upgrades which of course means pickups. I have a 59b and a Jazz neck ready to install. I don’t want stock A5 mags for this one though. I’d like something with more texture. Not as scooped. More vintage-y.
I’m thinking maybe UOA5 59b with A3 Jazz neck. Or maybe even A3/A3. I’m worried about that being too wimpy sounding in a Les Paul though.
Any thoughts?
