pickups for Ibanez iceman ict700

I fixed up my stratocaster with seymour duncans recently and got reminded of how amazing they are! I have dimarzio d-activators in my iceman and want to put SD'S in there as well. I feel the dimarzios are a bit "sterile".

I have a JB in my strat and really like it but I think I want some diversity between the guitars. I was thinking about putting an sh-5 in the bridge and a stag mag in the neck on the iceman. I mostly play rock/metal and some blues occasionally.

So I was wondering how the stag mag works in the neck? I heard a clip on YouTube and really loved it. Liquid tone and almost "single-coil" like. I'm also wondering what's the difference between custom, custom custom and custom 5?

Custom has a ceramic magnet, will be the most aggressive of them. CC has alnico 2, more mids and less output than the Custom. C5 has alnico 5, kinda splits the difference between the two.

Get any of them and two magnets, and you can try all three.

I like DiMarzios in the neck position and usually think of them as great for cleans but not gains (just my experience, others will disagree.) I like Alnico V and Ceramic magents because they have what I would call "power" and "bite" to them, the Ceramic cleans typically have an edge that while is still clean is not as pristine as the Alnico II's I've tried.
