Pickups for Ibanez RG2570

Hello all,

I am currently looking for new pickups for my RG. I play metal like metallica, megadeth, anthrax, pantera, slayer and (attempt) to shred.

The guitar is made of Basswood.

I was looking at the SH-6b Duncan Distortion (for the bridge oubviously) and the SH-1N (for the neck it seems).

Are these good choices? If not then what would you recommend for this type of music?

What kind of amp are you playing through and what, in your opinion, is lacking from your sound?

I am using a podXT just now.

I dont know how to explain what I feel is missing, the best word would probably be "crunch". "Chunk" could also be a good word perhaps. Some crunchy chunky palm muting. I was never the best at explaining things though.

Crunch and Chunk?

59/DD is a good choice, as is the Pearly Gates/ Custom combo (a bit more clarity) and the Parallel Axis/ Parallel Axis Distortion Trembucker (for more beef).

I have an Ibanez RG 570 and love the Duncan Distortion (bridge) and 59 neck. I play similar music to what you listed too.
