Pickups for Jackson PS2

Hi all,

I have a jackson ps2 made in japan, which I bought back in 1997.
Its a decent guitar with crappy stock pickups, which I would like to replace with new seymour duncan ones.
The guitar sports a humbucker, a middle and a neck pickup.
i will mostly use this guitar to play hard rock and metal, as I also have a prs s2 custom 24 which is my main guitar and it is very versatile for other styles.

I am leaning towards a JB humbucker for the bridge position and thinking for a lil 59 on the neck and have nothing for the middle.
At the same time, I am not sure if I want to have the 59 on the neck and not a more "metal" pickup there and in the middle too. :eek13:

Any suggestions/ ideas that would put me on the right track would be much appreciated!

thanks!

Re: Pickups for Jackson PS2

What tones are you shooting for and what amp you using? Are you looking for spanky strat tones in the neck, a rock lead tone?? The cool rails in the neck and or mid is a good combo for lead playing, but isnt going to give you that stratty spank
