Pickups for Post-Hardcore and Melo-Death

Hey folks,
I got an Ibanez RG (Jatoba fretboard, Meranti Body), that I would like to put a new pair of PUs into.

The Stock ones are just dark and muddy like hell under distortion.

The guitar is tuned to Drop A.
The Amp I use is a Modeller (simulating a EVH 5150 EL34)

What I'm searching for is a low tuned post-hardcore rhythm sound. The PUs should be passive.
(e.g. The Ghost inside, Bury Tomorrow, Cane Hill)

I thought about the SD Black Winters, but I'm not sure if they could be chunky and clear enough.
An alternative would be the Nazgul/Sentient or the Alpha/Omega, but in most Clips of them they were just awfull to my ear.

I already had the Distortion and JB in another guitar and they were just a bit too bright.

Any thoughts on this?

Black Winters are plenty chunky and clear. I'd also consider the Pegasus/Sentient as well.

Probably almost any low output (PAF type ) pup would work. Jazz, Pearly Gates, Demon (yes, I know it's higher output than PAF, but it is very clean and clear sounding but can push an amp to get chunky), and those already mentioned above should do what you want.

I know I'm an old fart....but the Distortion never disappoints on a foray to the lower regions of hell, musically speaking.

Black Winters, Dimebucker....

Looking for Ceramic aggression here.
